Pumpkin Bread Recipe

ree

Fall 2025 is here, and it is time to make the most out of the season with cozy sweaters,

the changing leaves and going to the pumpkin patch. This pumpkin bread recipe is the ultimate fall comfort bake - soft, spiced and perfectly moist. In a single loaf, it captures all of our autumn favourites.

This pumpkin bread fills your kitchen with the comforting aroma of cloves, nutmeg, and

cinnamon, whether you're baking it on a calm Sunday morning or sharing a slice with friends.

Making it is simple, and it tastes great on its own or with a hot cup of chai or coffee.

Ingredients:

Dry ingredients:

-1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

-1 teaspoon baking soda

-½ teaspoon baking powder

-½ teaspoon salt

-1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

-½ teaspoon nutmeg

-¼ teaspoon ground cloves

-¼ teaspoon ground ginger (optional!)

Wet ingredients:

-1 cup pumpkin purée

-2 large eggs

-½ cup vegetable oil

-⅓ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-¾ cup brown sugar

-¼ granulated sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a loaft pan or line with parchment paper.

2. Whisk dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, spices) in a medium bowl

until well combined.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, eggs, oil, milk, vanilla and sugars

until smooth.

4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined. It is

important to not overmix.

5. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.

6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
